CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-51 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING FIELD SERVICES ORGANIZATION CHANGES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, last fall the City Council approved reorganization of <br /> field services consolidating the management of four <br /> divisions of field services under one field services <br /> superintendent and transferring park maintenance from <br /> the Public Works Department to the Parks and Community <br /> Services Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of the reorganization each of the four division <br /> supervisors took on new responsibilities and it is <br /> appropriate to authorize salary adjustments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to the new salaries and responsibilities, it is <br /> appropriate to remove these supervisors from the PCEA <br /> bargaining group and agreement has been reached with <br /> PCEA for this change; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />'Section 1: Approves the agreement between the PCEA and the city <br /> to grant the four field services supervisors a 10% <br /> salary increase retroactive to September 1, 1984 and to <br /> remove them from the PCEA bargaining group. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approve the inclusion of the four supervisors in the <br /> management group and compensation plan and their <br /> eligibility for the benefits set forth in Attachment A. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves the addition of one lead park maintenance <br /> worker position to the park maintenance division. <br /> <br />Section 4: Amends the FY 1984-85 city budget to reflect the <br /> above changes. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
