CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 85-07 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS FOR APPROXIMATELY 8,120 FEET <br /> OF BIKE PATH AND RELATED FACILITIES TO BE LOCATED IN <br /> SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City staff has recently submitted a bicycle path plan <br /> for the Sports and Recreation Park to the Metropolitan <br /> Transportation Commission (MTC) for TDA Article 3 Funds <br /> in the amount of $75,000 for fiscal year 1985-86; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the bike path will connect to the existing ten foot wide <br /> concrete bike path in Phase IV of Sports Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Notice of Exemption accompanied the Staff Report <br /> stating the project is exempt because it is proposed <br /> within an existing park facility and would involve only <br /> minor alterations to the grass areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 7, <br /> 1985, at which time the public was given an opportunity <br /> to comment on this matter; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council authorizes the staff to prepare <br /> plans and specifications for an approximately 8,120 foot <br /> bike path and related facilities to be located in the <br /> Sports and Recreation Park. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 7, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None ~~ <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: __ . <br /> KENNETH R.
