CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-535 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REMOVING "NO PARKING" RESTRICTION ON BERNAL <br /> EAST OF OLD BERNAL AVENUE UNTIL BERNAL AVENUE IS <br /> EXTENDED TO FIRST STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the Bernal Avenue undercrossing project, "No <br /> Parking" signs were installed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a parking shortage for the police facility <br /> which will be worsened with the winter rains and <br /> construction for the new library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to alleviate the parking problems for the police <br /> facility during this winter, it is recommended that the <br /> "No Parking" signs on Bernal Avenue be removed until <br /> such time as Bernal Avenue is extended to First Street; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves removal of the "No Parking" restriction on <br /> Bernal Avenue east of Old Bernal Avenue until such time <br /> as Bernal Avenue is extended to First Street. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 18, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~~~~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: _ <br /> R M MAYOR <br /> H'i ERCER, <br /> <br />j <br /> ames R.'Walker, ~i~y Clerk <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Pe{~v ~2 ~ <br /> M C <br /> <br /> <br />
