CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 86-479 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING NORTH PLEASANTON IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT STEERING COMMITTEE WHEREAS, an informal committee has been meeting since late August to discuss the concerns and problems of NPID No. 2; and WHEREAS, one of the recommendations of this informal committee is the establishment of an NPID Steering Committee to monitor the future construction of the Stoneridge Drive, Santa Rita Road and Hacienda Drive interchanges; and WHEREAS, the function of the Steering Committee is strictly advisory to the Director of Public Works and to provide a forum for communication between the property owners and City staff; and WHEREAS, the members of the Committee are to be chosen from each of the three assessment zones of NPID and will be chaired by the Director of Public Works and Utilities with technical assistance from the City's Public Works staff and consultants; and WHEREAS, it was also indicated by the informal committee that there is a critical need for a project manager to coordinate the many phases of the NPID work; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby forms a committee called the NPID Steering Committee with representatives selected from each of the three assessment zones. Section 2: Approves appointment of a project manager for NPID and directs staff to include the cost for this position in NPID Freeway Portion. Section 3: Directs staff to proceed with the necessary documents to set the North Pleasanton Improvement District for Freeways and bring back to Council these documents to initiate NPID. Section 4: Directs staff to take appropriate action to permit the formation of the NPID Freeway Portion as either a "petition" district or as a "proteSt" district, at the Council meeting of December 2, 1986. Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
