CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-465 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THIRTEEN TREES DONATED BY THE <br /> HERITAGE FAMILIES' COMMITTEE FOR PLANTING IN VETERANS <br /> PLAZA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Heritage Family Committee has selected <br /> thirteen heritage families to honor in conjunction with <br /> the 1986 Heritage Days celebration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in honor of the thirteen heritage families recognized in <br /> 1986, the Pleasanton Heritage Family Committee has <br /> pledged thirteen trees to the City to be incorporated in <br /> the basic landscaping plans for Veterans Plaza and <br /> planted when the park is constructed with plaques <br /> recognizing the heritage families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Heritage Family Committee realizes the <br /> species of tree selected for planting and design of <br /> plaque will be determined by the park master plan; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council gratefully accepts the pledge of <br /> thirteen trees, donated in honor of the thirteen <br /> heritage families recognized in Heritage Days 1986, to <br /> be incorporated into the design of Veterans Plaza and <br /> planted at the time of construction of the park. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall Become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED OCTOBER 7, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> <br /> ABSTAIN: None ,;I. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ' ~j ~ <br /> F N E~ JR ?/~OR <br /> ~ C. , . <br /> <br />f/James R. ~a~er,'Ci~y Clerk ~ By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> A~ROVED ~ TOI~RM: ~~ <br /> ~e{~f bI. ~cDonaia, · 9 At~0r~y <br /> <br /> <br />
