The City Council hereby establishes Friday, August 15, 2008 and Friday, <br />August 22, 2008, respectfully, as the deadlines for submission of direct arguments and rebuttal <br />arguments for the initiative measure. These arguments must be submitted to the City Clerk by <br />5:00 p.m. on the respective deadline dates. <br />Section 6. The City Clerk is directed to transmit the initiative measure to the City <br />Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis of the measure by Friday, August 8, 2008. <br />Section 7. That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be <br />held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections. <br />Section 8. That notice of the time and place of holding the election is given and the <br />City Clerk is authorized, instructed and directed to give further or additional notice of the <br />election, in time, form and manner as required by law. <br />Section 9. The City Council requests that the Alameda County Board of Supervisors <br />order that this election be conducted by the Alameda County Registrar's Office on November 4, <br />2008, in conjunction with the statewide General Election on that date, with the actual costs for <br />said election to be reimbursed by the City to the County. <br />Section 10.
