iii. Apply for, receive, and utilize ail fo rn:s of <br />financial assistance for public transportation <br />facilities or services, including <br />contributions, grants, allocations, loans, <br />revenues, or other assistance from MTC, State, <br />Federal, or other sources available for the <br />planning, acquisition, construction, <br />maintenance, operation, administration, or <br />other support of such facilities or services; <br />provided that Authority shall be empowered on <br />behalf of member jurisdictions without furt'~er <br />authorization to directly apply for, receive, <br />and utilize such financial assistance for which <br />member j urisd fictions are eligible, including , <br />without limitation, TDA funds. <br />(A) Except as specifically provided by <br />Paragraph 8(b), member jurisdictions shall <br />not compete with Authority for TDA public <br />transit funds within the service area. <br />(B) The parties acknowledge that Livermore has <br />an operating fixed route transit service _ <br />called RIDEO with a level of inkra-City <br />service emphasizing the needs of students, <br />the elderly, the disabled, and the transit <br />• dependent, and a Cial-a-Ride service for <br />the elderly and disabled, both of which <br />the City ~~~ill be permitted to maintain <br />within the ~7EPA.
