THE CITY OF <br />pL£~S~;NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />1 <br />July 15, 2008 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: ADIDPT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE AMENDED <br />ANID RESTATED JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br />CONCERNING THE LIVERMORE/AMADOR VALLEY TRANSIT <br />AUTHORITY (LAVTA) <br />SUMMARY <br />The Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) was formed in 1985 by means <br />of a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (JEPA) between the County of Alameda and <br />the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton. LAVTA has revised and approved its <br />formation document in order to add new provisions which will facilitate the smooth <br />operation of tl~e Authority and its Board and to bring it in line with the Authority's current <br />practices. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the re:~olution authorizing the Mayor's execution of the LAVTA Amended and <br />Restated Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement. <br />FINANCIAL ;>TATEMENT <br />The changes to the JEPA are non-financial in nature. <br />
