CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-420 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TIE VOTE PROCEDURE FOR <br /> NOVEMBER 4, 1986 ELECTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to the November 4, 1986 election, the City Council <br /> must establish a procedure to resolve tie votes should a <br /> tie vote occur; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Assistant to the City Manager presented his report <br /> (SR 86:385) indicating the two options available; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby selects alternative #2, ordering a <br /> special runoff election in case of a tie vote at the <br /> November 4, 1986 election as follows: <br /> <br /> The special election must be held on a Tuesday not less <br /> than 40 days nor more than 125 days after the <br /> certification of the election which resulted in the tie <br /> vote.
