CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-402 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES AND <br /> GUIDELINES <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Subsection 1 (a) (iii) (Eligibility and Approval <br /> Procedures for Lower-Income Housing Developments as <br /> Exempt Projects) of Appendix A (Growth Management <br /> Procedures and Guidelines) to Title 17 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> "(iii) Lower-Income Housing Developments. <br /> <br /> A. Projects meeting the requirements for low <br /> income exempt projects set forth in subsection (c) are <br /> eligible to request exemption from the Growth Management <br /> development approval process and to use the units set <br /> aside for such projects. <br /> <br /> B. The City Council may approve lower-income <br /> projects up to the number of units in the set-aside and <br /> may include anticipated future allocations. The ten <br /> percent allocation shall carry over from year to year. <br /> <br /> C. A project containing both lower-income units <br /> and market rate units shall be approved in its entirety. <br /> Only lower-income units shall count toward the <br /> lower-income set-aside. <br /> <br /> D. For purposes of subsection (c), the Director <br /> of Community Development shall each year determine the <br /> Tri-Valley median income. <br /> <br /> E. Units within a project designated for <br /> lower-income households shall be of comparable size and <br /> quality as other units in the project." <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 1 (Exempt Projects) of Appendix A to Title 17 <br /> of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br /> adding subsection (c) as follows: <br /> <br /> "(c) Requirements of Low Income Exempt Projects <br /> <br /> (i) North Pleasanton Low Income Projects . A <br /> project located within the area designated as "North <br /> Pleasanton Area for Lower Income Growth Management <br /> Exemptions" shall be eligible to apply for the low <br /> <br /> <br />
