PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
The next item on the agenda was further consideration of Livingston and Blayney
report concerning Mixed Lot Sizes. Mr. Edgar summarized the Livingston and Blayney
report dated May 20, 1966. Mr. Ray Martin spoke relative to using variation in
streets for different design in a development. Mr. Ted Fairfield spoke stating that
he felt one should consider terrain, a given price range for a given area, access to
Civic Center, shopping centers, freeways, etc. Mr. Fairfield went on to say that he
All felt we need development in a lower price range for homes, also, to disregard the
4.7 density now in the General Plan and use a variable density. In other words, a
sliding scale for density depending on the area involved, considering terrain, etc.
After further discussion, upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner
Arnold, and carried, the following motion was unanimously adopted.
MOVED: to adopt, in principal, Alternate No. 4 listed
in the report of Livingston and Blayney, dated
May 20, 1966.
Dated: July 27, 1966
ATTEST:
es M.
