CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-383 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO COLLISHAW CONSTRUCTION <br /> INC. OF SANTA CLARA, FOR IMPROVEMENT OF SPORTS PARK PLAY AREA <br /> NUMBER 2, PROJECT NO. 86-20 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> improvement of Sports Park Play Area Number 2, Project <br /> 86-20; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 19, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Collishaw Construction, Inc. of Santa Clara, <br /> in the amount of 11,920.00 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Collishaw Construction, Inc. of Santa <br /> Clara, be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Collishaw Construction, Inc. of Santa <br /> Clara, in the amount of $11,920.00 for Improvement of <br /> Sports Park Play Area Number 2, Project No. 86-20, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: That 1,411.00 will be allowed to cover the difference <br /> between the bid price with 5% contingency, and the <br /> project budgeted amount. <br /> <br />Section 3: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Collishaw Construction, Inc. of Santa Clara for the <br /> improvement of constructing a concrete curb and paving <br /> around one of the existing play areas at the Sports <br /> Park. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 19, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mercer, Mohr, Butler and Wood <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Brandes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> <br />
