PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 367 <br />WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission on its own motion hag considered <br />amendments to Article 14, Ordinance No. 309; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby <br />recommend to the City Council that the above -named Article be <br />amended as follows: <br />1. Revise Paragraph 14.100 to read as follows: <br />"The I -P District shall encourage development so that the lands, <br />arrangement of buildings, architecture, structures, landscaping <br />and activities are, to the extent reasonably possible without <br />interfering with the primary purpose of any permitted use, <br />compatible with surrounding districts. Uses shall be limited <br />to a low concentration, with suitable open space. The external <br />effects of the land use shall be carried on in an unobtrustive <br />manner without undue detriment to any nearby uses." <br />2. Revise Paragraph 14.200 -c to read as follows: <br />"Laboratories; commercial, testing, research, experimental or <br />other, including pilot plants. <br />3. Add to Paragraph 14.300 Subparagraphs b, c and d, as follows: <br />b. "Railroad sidetracks, together with ancillary storcge areas <br />and required loading and discharging equipment and structures, <br />and trucking and motor freight loading and discharging <br />facilities, as necessary to serve a permitted use. <br />c. Public utility structures and uses necessary to serve a <br />permitted use. <br />d. Other accessary uses and buildings customary to a permitted <br />use." <br />4. Rewrite Paragraph 14.501 completely to read as follows: <br />"Height Regulations. No structure within 200 ft. of any District <br />other than an I District shall exceed 22 stories or 40 ft. in <br />height. Beyond this 200 foot zone no structure shall exceed 5 <br />stories or 80 ft. in height. Heights above these limits in their <br />respective areas may be allowed subject to the issuance of a <br />Conditional Use Permit by the Planning Commission. However, no <br />building or structure shall be erected to such a height that it <br />would be detrimental to the light, air, or privacy of any other <br />structure or use on the adjacent properties, existing or reasonably <br />to be anticipated." <br />5. Revise Paragraph 14.502 to rea'i as fellows: <br />"Min. Lot Area; 15,000 sq.t.. -Lot Coverage Magic. Percent: 40%, <br />exclusive of open areas devoted to off - street parking -- Front: <br />20 ft.--Side: 10 ft.--Rear: 25 ft." <br />6. Revise Paragraph 14.700 to read a=te follows: <br />"No waste materials or refnae of any kind sha1.1 be dumped upon or <br />permitted to aemnin ,inrrn any part cf a property enrside of an <br />enclosed bni'iding or of ;her approved enclosure.." <br />Dated: December 9, 1964 <br />ATT ST: <br />1 i A; <br />ames M.
