PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLUTION NO, <br />RESOLVED: <br />The City Planning Commission, as an initial report, hereby <br />recommends to the City Council adoption of the proposed Pleasanton <br />Area General Plan, dated November 5, 1964, with the following <br />changes and modifications: <br />1. Residential Arens <br />a. Change the language in the General Plan description relating <br />to medium density areas which refers to "predominantly <br />6,500 square foot lots" in order to reflect the concept of <br />mixed lot sizes with some lots in excess of 6,500 square <br />feet. This language would particularly apply to the area <br />immediately east of Foothill Road between Interstate Route <br />580 and Bernal Avenue. <br />2. Commercial Areas <br />No changes. <br />3. Industrial Areas <br />a. Change the indicated land use for that portion of the Busch <br />property located west of a southerly extension of Martin Avenue <br />from Sand and Gravel Harvesting and Processing to Limited <br />Industrial, and include a landscaped buffer on the easterly <br />perimeter of this area. <br />b. Remove a portion of the area south of Pine Avenue and the <br />Livermore Airport, and west of the Route 84 freeway from .Sand <br />and Gravel Harvesting and Processing and mark as "Held For <br />Further Consideration pending final recommendations from the <br />Valley Sand and Gravel Committee and the City of Livermore. <br />4. Community Facilities <br />a. Change the street pattern surrounding two K -8 schools <br />located on the Hansen -Giger property in order to indicate <br />only two streets on the periphery of the school rather than <br />three as shown on the Proposed Plan. <br />b. Relocate a portion of Tassajara Creek west of Santa Rita <br />Road north of the Arroyo Mocho in order to make the Channel <br />a buffer between high density land uses abutting Santa <br />Rita Road and Industrial uses to the west. <br />5. Institutions . <br />No change <br />6. Agriculture <br />No change <br />7. Circulation <br />a. Move Pine Avenue freeway interchange and Pine Avenue north <br />to south boundary of V.C.S.D. sewage treatment plant. <br />b. Extend Valley Avenue as a major thoroughfare southwesterly <br />of Hopyard Road to a new freeway interchange on Route 680 <br />at 00 approximate mid -point between the relocated Pine <br />Avenue interchange and the Bernal Avenue interchange. <br />Dated: January 27, 1965 <br />TTE T: <br />ames M. a es <br />.I Secretary <br />Phili.ij R.
