RESOLUTION NO. 86-358 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT <br /> <br /> LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1984-1 <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton resolves: <br /> <br /> The City of Pleasanton scheduled bid opening on June 17, 1986, <br /> <br /> no bid was received. Under direction of the City Attorney's <br /> office, staff contacted several contractors for the purpose of <br /> <br /> negotiating a contract price; however, only one contractor <br /> <br /> responded with a bid proposal <br /> <br /> The Engineer of Work had estimated the cost for this project at <br /> <br /> $24,750.00, the bid submitted was $23,587.00 by White Oak <br /> <br /> Landscape, Inc. Under the circumstances, a public agency can <br /> award the contract per Section 20166 of the Public Contract Code <br /> <br /> without rebidding. <br /> <br /> The City Council therefore awards the contract to that bidder. <br /> <br /> The City Council directs the City Clerk to publish a notice of <br /> <br /> award of contract. <br /> <br /> The City Council authorizes and directs the Mayor and the City <br /> <br /> Clerk to sign the written contract for this project when it is <br /> presented to them for signature, along with the surety bonds and <br /> <br /> insurance certificated required by the contract specifications. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly <br />and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, at a regular meeting <br />thereof, held on the 5th day of August, 1986. <br /> <br /> <br />
