CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-357 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO TOM'S BACKHOE, <br /> INC., FOR FIRST STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, NEAL <br /> STREET STORM DRAIN LINE REPLACEMENT AND EAST ANGELA <br /> STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. C.I.P. 85-37 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for First <br /> Street sanitary sewer improvements, Neal Street storm <br /> drain line replacement and East Angela storm drainage <br /> improvements, Project No. C.I.P. 85-37; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on August 5, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Tom's Backhoe, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $194,633.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Tom's Backhoe, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Tom's Backhoe, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $194,633.00, for First Street sanitary sewer <br /> improvements, Neal Street storm drain line replacement <br /> and East Angela storm drainage improvements, Project No. <br /> C.I.P. 85-37, is hereby accepted by the City Council as <br /> the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Tom's Backhoe, Inc. for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
