PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1902 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR <br />ROBERT E. MEYER AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-80-3. <br />WHEREAS, Robert E. Meyer has applied for an amendment to the General <br />Plan which would change the land use designation of two <br />parcels consisting of a total of approximately 83 acres <br />located on the northwest corner of Hopyard Road and Stone- <br />ridge Drive from "General and Limited industrial" to <br />"Industrial, Commercial and Offices;" and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 10, 1980 at which <br />time all testimony and documents were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of September 10, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated September 10, 1980 regarding the afore- <br />mentioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) <br />of Resolution No. '77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as <br />they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a <br />Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what <br />mitigation measure, if any, must be undertaken to ensure <br />that the project will not have a significant impact upon the <br />environment. <br />/// <br />
