In the
elementary district, we have made the following modifications to schools that were
necessary because of increased enrol Iments:

ALISAL SCHOOL: The district constructed dividing walls between some large open space
classrooms and enclosed a tutoring space to make an additional classroom to accommodate
the overflow students from other schools. These spaces are currently being occupied.

FAIRLANDS SCHOOL: The school district has leased a two-classroom portable unit to
accommodate increased enrollment in that area. This unit is also being occupied fully as of
this report.

HARVEST PARK: School district divided a large work space area into smaller units to
accommodate the increased enrol I ment at the junior high school level. Partables are also
being utilized.

VINTAGE HILLS SCHOOL: The Board of Trustees recently approved the construction of
four additional classrooms to accommodate the increased enrollment due to new
construction projects in this area.

WALNUT GROVE SCHOOL: The school district constructed several partition walls during
the summer to create additional space for the increased enrollmint at the school.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS: The school district has evaluated the class size of
all of their special education programs, and as a result, have combined some smaller classes
to free up space for regular education students.

AMADOR VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL: The district has made several room modifications such
as partitions within roomsJ utilizing homemaking and dining room areas for classrooms or

-21-
