CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-352 <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF FINDING OF OVERCROWDING BY PLEASANTON JOINT <br /> ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, for some time past there has been a continuing and <br /> substantial increase in population within the boundaries <br /> of the Pleasanton Joint Elementary School District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of this district has considered <br /> all reasonable methods for mitigating conditions of <br /> overcrowding, yet no feasible method for reducing the <br /> conditions of overcrowding were reached. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution No. 1986-87.3 of The Board of Trustees of <br /> the Pleasanton Joint Elementary School District (see <br /> attached) incorporated herein in this reference resolved <br /> that conditions of overcrowding exist within the entire <br /> attendance area of the district and no feasible method <br /> of mitigating overcrowding exists. <br /> <br />Section 2: City Council hereby accepts the recomendations and <br /> findings of Resolution No. 1986-87.3 of the Board of <br /> Trustees of the Pleasanton Joint Elementary School <br /> District and shall require developers to dedicate land <br /> and/or pay fees to the District for classroom and <br /> related facilities and/or mitigate the impact on the <br /> schools in another manner acceptable to both the City <br /> and the District. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 5, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mercer, Mohr and Mayor Brandes, <br />NOES: None i~~C._RAy~ND/B~,~jR.,M~~AY <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Wood and Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
