PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON .- COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1904 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-80-4. WHEREAS, Valley Community Church has applied for an amendment to the General Plan which would change the land use designa- tion of a 2.32± acre site located on the north and west of their proposed church site at the northeast end of Del Valle Parkway approximately 200' east of Harvest Road from "Public" to "High Density Residential;" and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 10, 1980 at which time all testimony and documents were reviewed; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of September 10, 1980 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated September 10, 1980 regarding the afore- mentioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City"Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. ///
