PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1906 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION AS FILED FOR CASE GP-80-5, A GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a general plan <br />amendment to change the land use designation of 18 <br />separate sites and to change the Circulation Element <br />to show the extension of Railroad Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held September 10, 1980 at which <br />time all pertinent documents and testimony were reviewed; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council o£ the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of September 10, <br />1980 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine <br />if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project <br />and what mitigation measure, if any, must be undertaken to <br />ensure that the project will not have a significant impact <br />on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) <br />as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the <br />project requested in GP-80-5 would not have any significant <br />effects on the environment to require the preparation of an <br />Environmental Impact Report. <br />/// <br />
