PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1918 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSIO OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE SOUTHERN ACIFIC RAILROAD AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-80-9 WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Railroad has appl'ed for a general plan amendment which would change the and use designation of an approximately 0.8+ acre parcel b unded by Abbie Street, First Street, Angela Street an the SPRR right-of- way from "Open Space -- Parks and Recr ation" to "Commercial and Offices;" and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 2, 1980 at which time all pertinent testimony and docum nts were heard; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initia Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact G idelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council f the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; an WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meetin of November 12, 1980 received the Initial Study and propose Negative Declaration in a report from the Direct r of Planning and Community Development dated November 12, 1980 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by he City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing th proposed Negative Declaration and the determination requi ed by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission ad before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the t'me of considering the proposed environmental assessment, hich has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned pr ject; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and pu Planning Commission reviewed the provis Guidelines and Processing Procedures fo of projects and preparation of Environm in order to determine if a Negative Dec appropriate for the project and what mi if any, must be undertaken to ensure th not have a significant impact upon the lic input, the ons of the City's the evaluation ntal impact Reports aration is igation measure, t the project will nvironment.
