PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1926 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE <br />RZ-80-12 <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has <br />applied to zone a portion of the recently annexed <br />property included in Annexation 78 consisting of <br />approximately 127 acres located east of the extension <br />of Valley Avenue between Bernal Avenue and the Arroyo <br />Del Valle to the R-1-6500, R-1-7500, R-1-8500, R-1-10,000 <br />R-1-20,000 and Public and Institutional District or any <br />other district consistent with the general plan; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held December 10, 1980 at which <br />time all pertinent documents and testimony were received; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />-- by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of December 10, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated December 10, 1980 regarding the afore- <br />mentioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilites in reviewing the proposed Negative Dec- <br />laration and the determination required by Section 5.4 (e) of <br />Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environment assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in <br />order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate <br />for the project and what mitigation measure, if any must <br />be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a <br />significant impact upon the environment. <br />
