PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1978 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-81-4 <br />WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has <br />applied for an Ordinance Code amendment to Article 19, <br />25, 26 and 30 of Chapter 2, Title II which would allow <br />administrative approval of a time extension for projects <br />which now have a one-year expiration; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 8, 1981 at which <br />time all pertinent documents and testimony were <br />reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done <br />pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br />Procedures adopted by the City Counci], of the City of <br />Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 8, 1961 <br />- received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declar- <br />ation in a report from the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development dated April 8, 1981 regarding the <br />aforementioned project; and - <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Nega- <br />tive Declaration and the determinations required by <br />Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine <br />_ if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project <br />/// <br />
