PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1801 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION FILED UNDER RZ-79-15 <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied to rezone a roughly <br />95 acre area located east of the developed portion of <br />the Fairlands area (bounded generally by I-580 on the <br />north, the City limits on the east, the Arroyo Mocho <br />on the south and existing development on the west) <br />from the R-1-6500 District to the R-1-10,000 District <br />or any other zoning district consistent with the <br />General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 10, <br />1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development dated August 1, 1979 regarding <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation o£ Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine <br />if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project <br />and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken <br />to ensure that the project will not have a significant <br />impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />/// <br />
