PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1801 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION FILED UNDER RZ-79-15 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied to rezone a roughly 95 acre area located east of the developed portion of the Fairlands area (bounded generally by I-580 on the north, the City limits on the east, the Arroyo Mocho on the south and existing development on the west) from the R-1-6500 District to the R-1-10,000 District or any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 10, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated August 1, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation o£ Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
