PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITX OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1817/ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-79-8, <br />HARRIS REALTY. <br />WHEREAS, Harris Realty has applied for a general plan amendment <br />to change the Ggeneral plan designation of properties <br />located at 444, 459, 471, 486 and 496 St. Mary Street <br />from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and <br />Offices;" and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at which time all documents, <br />maps and testimony were considered; and <br />WHEREAS, there is currently 40+ acres of underdeveloped and/or <br />vacant "Commercial or Office" space in the Central <br />Business District (CBD); and <br />WHEREAS, surrounding property owners spoke in opposition to this <br />land use change; and <br />WHEREAS, impacts of the future development of the Regional <br />Shopping Center, east-west I-680 overcrossing, and <br />Railroad Track Consolidation should be reviewed prior <br />to changing the land use in the CBD. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends denial of GP-79-8, <br />application of Harris Realty. <br />Section 2. This resolution is effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 1st day of November, 1979 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Leppert, Jamieson, Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />NOES: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: Secretary Harris <br />DATE: November 1, 1979 <br />ATTEST: <br />~'-~Z <br />Robert J.
