<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1822 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />JOSEPH MADDEN FILED UNDER RZ-79-22 <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Madden has applied to rezone the 2.0 acre site <br />located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue from the RM-4000 (Multiple <br />Residential, 10 units/acre) to the RM-1500 (Multiple Resi- <br />dential, 29 units/acre) District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission took public testimony concerning <br />this rezoning and reviewed all reports and exhibits; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of November 14, 1979, <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Community Development dated, <br />November 8, 1979, regarding the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing of the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a <br />Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what <br />mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure <br />that the project will not have a significant impact upon the <br />environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as <br />they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the project <br />/// <br />
