PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1827 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROV~iNG A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR LAND <br />USE AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT ELEMENTS OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br />FILED UNDER GP-79-20 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Land Use <br />and Growth Management Elements of the General Plan to <br />eliminate the General Plan policies relating to the "Urbani- <br />zation Line" which designates the limits of urbanization of <br />the City for the period up to 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission took public testimony concerning <br />this rezoning and reviewed all reports and exhibits; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of November 14, 1979, <br />"- received the initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Community Development dated, <br />November 8, 1979, regarding the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative ` <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing of the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a <br />Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what <br />mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure <br />that the project will not have a significant impact upon the <br />environment. <br />/// <br />
