PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1835 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR PLEASANTON SURGERY CENTER FILED UNDER CASE <br />RZ-79-24. <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Surgery Center has applied to rezone the rear <br />and side approximately 36,000 sq. ft. of the Lynnewood <br />Methodist Church site on Black Avenue from the P (Public <br />and Institutional) District to the O (Office) District; and <br />WIIEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WIIEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of December 12, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated December 12, 1979 regarding the afore- <br />mentioned project; and <br />WFIEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WIiEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution Ido. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the~time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WFIEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if <br />a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to <br />ensure that the project will not have a significant <br />impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING C~~MMISSIOId RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />
