PLANTING COMf4ISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALABIEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORL7IA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1849 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLAIQNIIIG COb'll`4ISSIOIQ, CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN APQENDIIENT TO THE ORDINANCE CODE, <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, RELATING TO MOTOR HOMES AND TRUCKS WITII <br />CAMPERS AS FILED UNDER RZ-80-1. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has applied to amend Article 3, Chapter 2, <br />Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to <br />require that motor homes and trucks with campers be appro- <br />priately screened when parked on residential properties; <br />WIIEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 13, 1980 before the <br />Planning Commission, at which time all pertinent reports, <br />documents and testimony were reviewed. <br />IdOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COI'IMISSIOId RESOLVES TIIE FOLLOL'7ING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends the Ordinance Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton be amended as follows: <br />Subsections (e) and (f) of §2-5.47 (Types of Vehicles and <br />Parking Locations Permitted in R Districts), of Article 3, <br />Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) of tkie <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton are hereby amended <br />in their entirety to read as follows: <br />(e) No trailer, camper, truck with camper unit <br />attached, motor home, or boat shall be <br />parked or stored in a front yard; provided <br />further, however, that in addition a trailer, <br />camper, truck with camper unit attached, <br />motor home or boat may not be parked or <br />stored in the side street side yard of a <br />corner lot. <br />(f) No trailer, camper, truck with camper unit <br />attached, motor home, or boat shall be parked <br />or stored in the area between the front yard <br />and the front of a structure or in a side yard, <br />unless adequately screened from view from the <br />street as determined by the Board of Design <br />Review. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 13th day of February, 1980 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Leppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Doherty <br />NOES : Idone <br />
