PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1884 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR JOSEPH MADDEN FOR CASE PUD-80-5. <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Madden has applied to rezone a 2 acre site located at <br />3851 Vineyard Avenue from the RM-1500 (Multiple-Residential) <br />District to the PUD-Residential (Planned Unit Development- <br />Residential) District and for development plan approval for <br />a 48-unit condominium complex to be located behind the existing <br />duplex on the site; and <br />WHEREAS, Said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to <br />the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of June 11, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated July 11, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHERAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in <br />order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate <br />for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must <br />be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a <br />significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of <br />Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines <br />and Procedures) as they pertain to the requirements for <br />'"' Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports <br />and determines that the project requested in Z-80-44 <br />would not have any significant effects on the environment <br />/~/ <br />
