PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1888 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING A <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GOLDEN GATE RACQUETBALL <br />COURTS AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-80-6. <br />WHEREAS, Golden Gate Racquetball Courts has applied for development <br />plan approval of a 33,920 sq. ft. racquetball facility on <br />a 1.23 acre site at Old Hopyard Road just south of I-580; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done <br />pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br />Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 9, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />-- in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated July 9, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />/// <br />
