PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1891 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY <br />COUNCIL THAT THEY CONSIDER MODIFYING THE RESI- <br />DENTIAL ALLOCATION PROGRAM (RAP) TO INCLUDE <br />A NEW EXEMPTION UNDER THAT PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the Draft Revised <br />Housing Element of the General Plan at public <br />hearings July 9 and July 16, 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, discussion ensued concerning affordable housing and <br />rental units in the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels every effort should <br />be made to encourage the development of such housing. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council <br />that 300 rental units and 300 affordable housing units <br />be exempt from RAP including the 78 units for subsidized <br />housing which have already been set aside. (Affordable <br />units are those selling at a low enough price that <br />households earning less than 120 of the Bay Area <br />median income may qualify to purchase them) <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 16th day of July, 1980 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, <br />Chairperson Wilson <br />NOES: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Jamieson, Lindsey and <br />DATE: July 16, 1980 <br />ATTEST: <br />~YJ <br />Robert J.
