PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ~- COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1892 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN, FILED UNDER CASE GP-80-1. WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for review of the Draft Revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton formulated pursuant to State Government Code Section 65302 and State Housing Element Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed Housing Element is to evaluate existing and projected community housing need and to offer a workable housing program to meet said need; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held July 9 and July 16, 1980; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their meeting of July 9, 1980 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated July 9, 1980 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- priate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
