PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />~- COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1892 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE <br />DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN, FILED UNDER <br />CASE GP-80-1. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for review of the Draft <br />Revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of <br />Pleasanton formulated pursuant to State Government Code <br />Section 65302 and State Housing Element Guidelines; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed Housing Element is to evaluate <br />existing and projected community housing need and to <br />offer a workable housing program to meet said need; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held July 9 and July 16, 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their meeting of July 9, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated July 9, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />
