PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1897 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARA- <br />TION FOR DENNAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE PUD-80-7. <br />WHEREAS, Application of Dennan Construction Company to rezone from <br />the R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) District a 4.4 acre site <br />located on the east side of Fairlands Drive immediately <br />north of West Las Positas Boulevard. This application <br />also includes a request for development plan approval for <br />a 34-unit condominium complex proposed to be built at this <br />location; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 13, 1980 and all docu- <br />ments prepared were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by <br />Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 13, 1980, <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning anal Community <br />Development dateEl August 13, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine i£ a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, <br />must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have <br />a significant impact upon the environment. <br />/// <br />
