PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />_ STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1733 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RECOMMENDING THAT GP-79-S, FILED BY STONESON DEVELOPMENT CO. <br />FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT BE APPROVED. <br />WHEREAS, Stoneson Development Co. has applied for a General Plan Amendment <br />to change the land use designation of a 91.5 acre site located <br />at the southwest intersection of I-580 and I-680 from "High <br />Density Residential", "Public and Institutional" and "Parks and <br />Recreation" to "Commercial and Offices", "Public and Institutional", <br />and'High Density Residential"; and <br />PIHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to review this <br />application April 11, 1979; and <br />WHEREAS, all pertinent reports, documents, maps and testimony were reviewed; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after reviewing all available data concluded <br />that the proposed change to the General Plan would be appropriate; <br />and <br />~-WHEREAS, after reviewing the negative declaration, it was determined the <br />significant adverse effects could be reduced to insignificance <br />by conditioning the approval as described in the staff report <br />submitted to the Planning Commission dated April 11, 1979. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council the <br />adoption of GP-79-5 as petitioned subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the general plan designation of the subject property be <br />changed to show 15-20 acres of "Public and Institutional;' <br />15-35 acres of "High Density Residential" and 30-45 acres <br />of "Commercial and Offices" and that these uses may be located <br />anywhere within the 91.5 acre site. <br />2. That the General Plan multiple-single family dwelling unit <br />ratio be changed from 25%-75o to 20%-80%. <br />3. That in conjunction with the rezoning of the subject property, <br />the applicant agree to carry out the traffic studies necessary <br />to properly develop the site under its new land use designation <br />and if these studies indicate a need for an interchange at <br />I-680/Stoneridge Drive, to fund or participate in the funding <br />of said interchange unless built entirely with state and/or <br />"- federal monies. <br />4. That in conjunction with the design and location of the <br />hospital and congregate housing, existing and projected noise <br />
