PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1735 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-79-4. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest intersection of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and Offices" to "Medium Density Residential" or any other appropriate general plan designation; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 11, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated April 2, 1979, regarding the aforementioned project; and ~- WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environ- mental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
