PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1735 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-79-4. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied for a General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of a 6.6 <br />acre site located at the southwest intersection of <br />Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and <br />Offices" to "Medium Density Residential" or any other <br />appropriate general plan designation; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done <br />pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br />Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 11, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development dated April 2, 1979, regarding <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />~- WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and the determinations required by <br />Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before <br />him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of <br />considering the proposed environmental assessment, <br />which has previously been published in the Pleasanton <br />Times, at the time of the public hearing on the <br />aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the <br />City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the <br />evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environ- <br />mental Impact Reports in order to determine if a <br />Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to <br />ensure that the project will not have a significant <br />impact upon the environment. <br />
