PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1750 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR AN APPLICATION FOR PREZONING FILED UNDER <br />RZ-79-O5. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a prezoning of a <br />37 acre area located along Stanley Boulevard between <br />Main Street and the First Street-Stanley Boulevard <br />roadway to the R-1-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) <br />District (generally the westernmost 17.5 acres) and <br />the C-S (Service Commercial) District (generally the <br />eastern 19.5 acres) or any other zoning district <br />consistent with the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 13, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />_ Development dated June 7, 1979 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
