PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1755 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR DEWITT WILSON FILED UNDER PUD-79-4. <br />WHEREAS, .DeWitt Wilson has applied for a rezoning for a 4.9 acre <br />site located along the south side of Junipero Street <br />between Sunol Boulevard and Sonoma Drive from the RM-4000 <br />(Multiple-Residential) and S (Study) District to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) District and for approval <br />of a development plan for a 40-unit garden court-type <br />single family residential complex on the site; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 13, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated June 1, 1979 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />~ WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of <br />Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines <br />and Procedures) as they pertain to the requirements for <br />~- Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports <br />
