PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1757 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR PONDEROSA HOMES FILED UNDER GP-79-9. WHEREAS, Ponderosa Homes has applied for an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan which would comprehensively change the land use designation on a 240 acre site located between I-680 and Hopyard Road north and west of the existing development along Hansen Drive and Via Quito. The changes would remove the planned school sites and rearrange the proposed locations of the parks, high density residential and medium density residential development on the site. WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 13, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration .-, in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated June 6, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- priate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
