PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1757 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR PONDEROSA HOMES FILED UNDER GP-79-9. <br />WHEREAS, Ponderosa Homes has applied for an amendment to the Land <br />Use Element of the General Plan which would comprehensively <br />change the land use designation on a 240 acre site located <br />between I-680 and Hopyard Road north and west of the <br />existing development along Hansen Drive and Via Quito. <br />The changes would remove the planned school sites and <br />rearrange the proposed locations of the parks, high <br />density residential and medium density residential <br />development on the site. <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 13, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />.-, in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated June 6, 1979 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />
