PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1767 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR KEN GOOCH & <br />JOHN CAROLINE FILED UNDER GP-79-11 <br />WHEREAS, Ken Gooch and John Caroline have applied to change the land <br />use designations of a 5 acre site located between the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad tracks and I-680 immediately north of Happy <br />Valley Road from "General and Limited Industrial" to "Commercial <br />and Offices", and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing to review <br />this application on July 26, 1979, and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to <br />the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. <br />77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 26, 1979 <br />_ received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Community Development dated <br />July 26, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is <br />appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will <br />not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as <br />they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the project <br />requested in GP-79-11 would not have any significant effects <br />
