PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1775 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF GP-79-12, Flying "J", Inc. <br />WHEREAS, Flying "J", Inc. has applied for an amendment to the Land <br />Use Element of the General Plan to change the land use <br />designation of a 60 acre site located immediately south of <br />Johnson Drive and about 700 ft. west of Hopyard Road from <br />"General and Limited Industrial" to a combined "Industrial/ <br />Commercial and Offices" designation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to review <br />this application on July 26, 1979; and <br />WHEREAS, all pertinent reports, documents, maps and testimony were <br />reviewed; and <br />_ WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after reviewing all available data <br />concluded that the proposed change to the General Plan would <br />be appropriate; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing the negative declaration, it was determined <br />there would be no significant impacts on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council the <br />adoption of GP-79-12 as petitioned subject to the following <br />condition: <br />That the main point of access to the development shall <br />be via a road extending from Hopyard Road through the <br />Gotteschalk Paper Box Co. property and that a traffic <br />signal at the intersection of this access road and <br />Hopyard Road shall be installed as part of the initial <br />phase of construction on the subject property. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 26th day of July, 1979 by the following vote: <br />/// <br />
