PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1786 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR J. JACK BRAS FILED UNDER GP-79-16. WHEREAS, J. Jack Bras has applied for an amendment to the General Plan which would change the land use designation of a 2 acre parcel of land located on the northeast corner of Sunol Boulevard and Happy Valley Road from "Industrial" to "Commercial and Offices" or to any other designation the Planning Commission deems appropriate; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 8, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated August 2, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the project requested in GP-79-16 would not have any significant effects on the environment to require the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report.
