PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1608 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON DENYING PUD-77-7, AN APPLICATION BY <br />ROBERT J. MYERS TO REZONE A 12.7 ACRE SITE LOCATED <br />IMMEDIATELY SOUTfi OF THE TERMINUS OF LAS LOMITAS <br />DRIVE TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, <br />AND A DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR A 119-UNIT LIMITED CARE <br />RETIREMENT FACILITY. <br />WHEREAS, Robert J. Myers has applied for a planned unit development <br />to rezone a 12.7 acre site located immediately south of the <br />terminus of Las Lomitas Drive and east of Pleasanton School <br />from the A (Agricultural) District to the PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development Medium Density Residential) District and to <br />approve a development plan for the site consisting of a <br />119-unit limited care retirement facility; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review, the Planning Commission <br />made the finding that the environmental impact report prepared <br />for this project meets the requirements of CEQA and the <br />State guidelines; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission set and held a public hearing on <br />January 11, 1978, on the environmental impacts of the pro- <br />posed application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the finding that the project <br />would have significant impacts on the environment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission set and held a public hearing on <br />January 11, 1978, on the proposed application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission received testimony of the public, <br />including the applicant, his representative, and a staff <br />report and other pertinent material; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the findings that: <br />A. The location is inappropriate <br />necessary services for future <br />B. The facility would add to the <br />problems in the area; and <br />C. The project, while conforming <br />not meet the intent of the P1. <br />to be more institutional than <br />due to poor access to <br />residents of the facility; <br />already serious traffic <br />to the General Plan, would <br />in, as the use would tend <br />residential in nature. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />
