PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF p,LAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1619 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THAT GP-78-2, <br />FILED BY VAN BOKKELEN-COLE COMPANY, BE DENIED. <br />WHEREAS, Van Bokkelen-Cole Company has applied for a general plan <br />amendment to change the designation from High Density <br />Residential to Commercial and Offices for a 3.8 acre <br />parcel of land located on the east side of Santa Rita Road <br />immediately north of the Arroyo Mocho; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to review <br />this application on March 8, 1978; and <br />WHEREAS, pertinent reports, documents, maps and testmiony were <br />reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, considerable opposition to this request was expressed by <br />the property owners residing in the vicinity of the pro- <br />posed property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, prior to this review, took action <br />on the Initial Study prepared for this proposal, and con- <br />cluded that because of serious public controversy, an <br />environmental impact report should be prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission felt that the existing designation <br />is more appropriate for the property than Commercial and <br />Offices. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends denial of GP-78-2, as <br />petitioned. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />-1- <br />
