PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1621 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON FINDING CONFORMITY WITH THE GENERAL <br />PLAN FOR CONVEYANCE OF A REMNANT OF PROPERTY. <br />WHEREAS, Section 65402 (a) of the Government Code of the State of <br />California requires that no real property may be acquired <br />for any public purpose nor may any public property be <br />disposed of until the Planning Commission has reported to <br />the City Council as to the conformity of such actions with <br />the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, as a part of the acquisition of right-of-way for Stoneridge <br />Drive, east of Interstate 680, a parcel of land owned by <br />Vorelco, Inc. would be left without access; and <br />WHEREAS, the City owns a 2,384 sq. ft. remnant of a 3.65+ acre parcel <br />acquired by the City for the Stoneridge Drive project; and <br />WHEREAS, conveyance of said remnant piece to Vorelco would avoid <br />creation of a land locked parcel and thus avoid severance <br />damages should comdemnation be required; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on March 8, 1978, reviewed the <br />conveyance of property in accordance with the requirements of <br />Section 65402 (a) of the Government Code of the State of <br />California. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the conveyance of the <br />remnant piece of property, as shown as Parcel "C", is not <br />needed for street right-of-way purposes for construction <br />of Stoneridge Drive and its transfer to neighboring property <br />owners is in conformity with the General Plan. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 8th day of March, 1978, by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ATTEST: <br />Commissioners Doherty, <br />Chairman Butler <br />None <br />None <br />None <br />Secretary Harris <br />Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood and <br />
