PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1622 <br />A RESOLUTION OF COMb'iENDATION FOR WALTER C. WOOD <br />FOR YEARS OF SERVICE ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION. <br />WHEREAS, Walter C. Wood has served on the Planning Commission <br />since May, 1970 to the present time; and <br />WHEREAS, during that time, he served in the following positions <br />for one year: Vice Chairman in 1973; Chairman in 1974; <br />and Chairman of Design Review Board from June, 1976 to <br />the present time; and <br />WHEREAS, he served with conscientiousness, always exhibiting <br />concern for the welfare of the residents of the City <br />of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, he exhibited particular interest in establishing and <br />maintaining the "old town" character of the Central <br />Business District. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission extends sincere thanks to <br />Walter C. Wood for long, dedicated service to the City <br />of Pleasanton and its citizens, and wishes him success <br />in his new job as City Council Member. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 8th day of March, 1978, by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd and <br />Chairman Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: Secretary Harris <br />Date: March 8, 1978 <br />Attest: <br />Robert J.
