PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 16
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE ADOPTION
OF RZ-77-23, PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, on January 11, 1978, the Planning Commission considered an
amendment to the parking requirements of the code as they
pertain to medical buildings where surgery takes place; and
WHEREAS, this matter was then continued to the February and April
meetings of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, this amendment was prompted by an application by Frank
Auf der Maur for construction of a medical building where
surgery would take place; and
WHEREAS, because of the nature of this use, it was felt that the
existing parking requirement for medical offices would be
too restrictive to be applied in all cases; and
WHEREAS, draft ordinances were prepared defining two methods which
could apply to the regulation of parking requirements for
such uses; and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 1978, the Planning Commission reviewed the
draft ordinances and all pertinent testimony and reports on
this case.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council
adoption of Ordinance "A", which would amend Subsection (c)
of 2-9.15, Article 16, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance
Code to read as follows:
c. For a use not specified in Sec. 2-9.16, the
number of off-street parking spaces required
shall be determined by the Zoning Administrator,
based, wherever possible, upon an analysis of
other jurisdiction's experience with that type
of use.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.
-1-
