PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OFPLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1624 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />GP-78-1, SAFETY ELEMENT OF THE PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has presented a report on the Safety <br />Element of the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 10, 1978, <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community De- <br />velopment dated April 10, 1978, regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of <br />its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) <br />of Resolution 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him copies <br />of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the pro- <br />posed environmental assessment, which has previously been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public <br />hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropri- <br />ate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, <br />must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have <br />a significant impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) <br />and determines that the project requested in GP-78-1, Safety <br />Element of the City of Pleasanton, would not have any signifi- <br />cant effects on the environment to require the preparation <br />of an Environmental Impact Report. <br />-1- <br />
