DRAFT <br />~~~/7~ <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 2-9.19(1) (MORE THAN <br />ONE USE ON A SITE) AND SECTION 2-9.23 (DESIGNATION OF <br />OFF-STREET PARKING FACILITIES) OF ARTICLE 16 (OFF- <br />STREET PARKING), CHAPTER 2, (ZONING), TITLE II (ZONING <br />AND DEVELOPMENT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO PARKING FACILITIES. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Subsection 1 of Section 2-9.19, Article 16, Chapter 2, <br />Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br />is hereby amended as follows: <br />More Than One Use on a Site or Adjoining Sites. <br />If more than one use is located on a site, on <br />adjoining sites, or sites separated only by an <br />alley, and in the C-C (Central Commercial) and <br />P (Public and Institutional) Districts within <br />300 feet of the site, the number of parking spaces <br />provided shall be equal to the sum of the require- <br />ments prescribed in this article for each use <br />except that the total number of spaces may be <br />reduced when the hours of operation of at least <br />two (2) of the uses are discrete. Discrete <br />uses are defined as those which: <br />(a) are not in operation at the same <br />time; and <br />(b) the hours of operation are or maybe <br />controlled by conditional use per- <br />mits; and <br />(c) the uses share the same off-street <br />parking facility. <br />The total number of spaces otherwise required <br />may be reduced by not more than the parking require- <br />ment of the discrete use requiring the fewer park- <br />ing spaces. <br />Section 2. Section 2-9.23, Article 16, Chapter 2, Title II of the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended <br />as follows: <br />Designation of Off-Street Parking Facilities. <br />When off-street parking facilities are provided <br />in compliance with the requirements of this arti- <br />cle, on a site other than the site on which the <br />use to be served by the parking facilities is <br />
